Mount Vernon Gardens- A replica of George Washington's formal
gardens. Overlooks the Missouri River at a site passed by the Lewis and Clark

through the woods and prairie. Astronomy programs are offered at the Neale

De Soto National Wildlife
Refuge- A haven for
migrating ducks and geese. There are also nature trails, a visitor's center
with displays and an area to see the birds during migration. Located between
I-29 and Hwy 75 on Hwy 30, east of Blair.
Boys Town- Features artifacts, mannequins and audio
visual of Boys Town's struggles and accomplishments. Open 8:00am to 5:00 pm

Henry Doorly Zoo- Features the Lied Jungle, which is the
largest indoor tropical rain forest, the Scott aquarium, which includes a
850,000 gallon coral reef tank, a 70 foot long tunnel to view sharks, rays and
their aquatic creatures, the Lozier IMAX Theater shows films larger than life
with the 61' x 83' screen. The zoo is open year round (closed Christmas day,

Park State Recreation Area on the banks of the Platte river, 6 miles south of

Mormon Pioneer Cemetery- During the winter of 1846-1847 more than 600
pioneers died. Their gravesites are commemorated with sculptures, historic
